Weights Update – Summer '25

The Weights community is entering an exciting new chapter this summer. Over the past year, we’ve evolved from a small group of voice creators into a multi-modal platform with millions and millions of users. To support this continued growth, we’re making some of the biggest updates to Weights to date—enhancing clarity, scalability, and creative power across the platform.

Voyages - A Dedicated Home for Image Creators

Earlier this month, we launched the Voyages app on iOS and Android—a standalone experience designed specifically for image creators. Today, we’re expanding on that vision with the launch of Voyages on web, a fully-fledged platform for image creation and discovery accessible anywhere.

For existing image creators on Weights, this means all image creation and training will now live in Voyages.

Voyages introduces a range of new features:

• Multi-image generation (up to 4 images at once)
• Higher quality image models (now called Styles)
• Semantic image editing (describe changes directly)
• A personalized image discovery model
• A sleek new UI tailored for visual exploration

Your legacy image and video creations will still be accessible on weights.com, but all new image creations will happen in Voyages. This separation reflects what we’ve consistently heard from creators: different modalities need dedicated creative spaces. By decoupling image generation from Weights, we aim to deliver more tailored experiences while simplifying the core product.

Styles - The new Image Model

In Voyages, you may notice there are no mentions of Image Models or LoRA's. To reduce confusion for new users, we've renamed Image Models to Styles. You'll also notice a new section for Official Styles - a collection of Styles curated by our team that give powerful aesthetic and stylistic controls to your creations.

Styles are not just a rename however. Styles represent a new, more-powerful version of Image Models that apply to your creations without needing to prompt specifically or use trigger words. For now you'll still see your Legacy Image Models in a dedicated tab in your profile, however, we'll soon be moving all users to this new image model format.

Weights Pro: A new tier for Power Creators

We’re excited to introduce Weights Pro, a new subscription tier built for power users and professional creators. Pro is our most capable plan yet, and includes:

• Higher training and generation limits
• Exclusive creation features
• Priority inference speeds
• Early access to experiments
• Premium support

This is part of a broader evolution of our plans. Until now, Weights has operated with two tiers: Free and Weights Premium. As of today, we’re moving to a three-tier system:

1. Free – A great starting point for new creators.
2. Basic (formerly Premium) – Maintains the core capabilities our Premium users know and love with some adjustments.
3. Pro – Unlocks the highest limits and fastest performance for creators who want to push the boundaries.

The existing Weights Premium plan is now Weights Basic, and all active subscribers will automatically transition with no disruption to their experience. Pro introduces additional capacity for those who need more.

Free Limits Adjustments

With millions of users now on the platform, the cost of supporting fully open-ended usage at scale has grown dramatically. To continue offering high-quality tools to everyone—and keep Weights sustainable—we’re adjusting some limits on the Free plan. These changes allow us to reinvest in platform performance and new features, while still offering an accessible, high-quality starting point for new creators.

You'll notice:

• Free users can no longer train models
• A reduced daily limit on image/cover creation

Free users may still train for free by using items. Items can be earned by keeping up creation streaks - create for 5 days in a row and earn a free model training.

We’re confident this strikes the right balance: keeping Weights open and creative for everyone, while ensuring we can meet the demands of a rapidly-scaling set of creators.

Voice Covers, Chat, and Communities

While images are moving to Voyages, Voice Models, Covers, and Chat remain core parts of the Weights experience—and their creation flows are largely unchanged in this update. We’ve made some minor product changes to cleanup these experiences and make them stand on their own, but you’ll find that these modes are still right where you left them.

Content Policies

Alongside our product updates, we’re also rolling out refreshed content policies this summer—particularly around image generation and Style training.

While these changes won’t affect most users, you may notice new restrictions on training models using real people, celebrities, or other public figures, as well as stricter guidelines on the types of content that can be created with these models.

Our goal has always been to make AI creation accessible and expressive. But with that comes the responsibility to ensure Weights remains a platform for ethical, legal, and respectful creativity. These updates are designed to help us uphold that commitment: protecting creators, subjects, and the broader community.

The Road Ahead

These changes mark a large step forward for Weights. Our mission remains the same: to make AI creation accessible, expressive, and social. We're simplifying the product experience, focusing each creative flow into its own optimized lane, and building the tools that the next generation of creators will need.
